Do I have to be a client of SWP to invest in a PMBSN?

No, anyone can invest in a PMBSN.

How is my investment protected?

All PMBSN are fully backed by a portfolio of physical precious metals stored by our sister company SWP. SWP Capital ensures that adequate collateral is maintained at all times so that your investment is never at risk.

Do I need to open an account to purchase?

Yes, SWP requires clients to open an account prior to purchasing for home delivery or for storage at one of our secure facilities. To open an account, please click on "Open Account" in the top navigation bar. Once your account application is submitted, you can expect to receive a response from us within 2 - 3 business days confirming that your account has been approved.

What options do I have to pay back the loan?

You can pay back the loan principal at the end of the term or seek renewal for a further term. Prepayments are permitted at any time as the interest is paid upfront and considered earned. Payments must be made in USD.

What happens to my gold and silver during the loan period?

Your gold and silver will continue to be stored securely, and fully insured, inside of SWP’s Cayman Islands vault. It will be placed in a segregated sub-account held in the name of SWP CAPITAL for the duration of the loan and returned to your account once the loan is repaid in full.

Do all gold and silver products qualify as collateral?

Any precious metals sold to you by SWP directly qualifies as collateral. If the precious metals originated from an external course, 100 oz, 400 oz gold bars and 1000 oz silver bars will not qualify. All metal is subject to SWP’s approval.

Do I still have to pay storage fees during the loan?

Yes, you will still pay your regular storage fees for the metal being used as collateral.

When do I receive my interest payments?

Interest is paid upfront in full.

Can SWP help me buy precious metals?

Yes, you can buy precious metals directly from SWP. We offer our clients direct access to all of the best-selling bullion products on the market and our product premiums are competitive with the US domestic market. When you buy from SWP, you can either take delivery to your home or business, or have the metal deposited to your SWP storage account in one of our global storage locations.

Once you've opened your SWP account, there are three simple ways that you can place your order:

#1 - Login to your SWP online account and go to the 'Buy Metals' page. Add your desired products to your shopping cart and then proceed to checkout.

#2 - Call 1 (888) 445-1977 ext.1 to speak with a Sales Representative. They will assist you with your order.

#3 - Email info@swpcayman.com with a list of products and quantities you'd like to purchase. A Sales Representative will respond to your email shortly.

Once you've placed your order, you will receive an invoice including payment instructions.

Please note: We do have a minimum order size of 200 oz of silver or 2 oz of gold, platinum and palladium.

How do I place my order for precious metals?

You can place your order online 24 hours a day 7 days a week, or by calling 1 (888) 445-1977 or emailing info@swpcayman.com. Note, an SWP account is required to place an order.

Once your order is complete, you'll receive an order confirmation including payment instructions.

How can I pay for my precious metals order?

We accept the following methods of payment for precious metal orders:

  • Bank Wire
  • ACH


All invoices are in USD. Our banking details are provided at the time of your order confirmation.

Clients with banks accounts in the Cayman Islands can also pay for their orders via bank transfer.

Note: We do not accept checks as payment for precious metal orders.


I don’t see the product I want to buy. Do you have it?

No problem. We have access to nearly all of the products available on the market. Just contact us by calling 1 (888) 445-1977 or by emailing info@swpcayman.com and let us know which product and quantity you’re looking for, and we’ll help you order it.

Can I store my precious metals with SWP?

Yes, absolutely. SWP specializes in the secure storage of precious metal coins, rounds and bars. We offer our clients the ability to store in multiple locations worldwide including the Cayman Islands, Canada, the United States, Switzerland, Singapore and New Zealand. Note: Collectable coins may not be accepted for storage. Please speak with an SWP representative prior to depositing collectable coins.

Do you have minimums for storage?

There are no minimum storage balance requirements, however our Secure Segregated Storage accounts are subject to a $50 USD minimum quarterly storage fee. Storage fees only begin to apply once a deposit has been completed to your account.

Are my precious metals safe with SWP?

Absolutely. We use the most secure vaulting locations in the world to store our clients' precious metals. Each storage location is subject to a rigorous security audit, processes and best practices to keep our clients' assets safe at all times. The precious metals are housed within UL-rated vaults that meet the highest industry standards. Each storage location features a state-of-the-art security system and is monitored 24/7.


How do I know that assets are actually in SWP’s vaults?

Our clients receive an Activity Report each time a deposit to their account is completed and a Statement of Holdings at the end of every month. Annual 3rd party audit reports are issued by Alfred H Knight and ALS Global, and are available upon request. An auditor report is an independent, unbiased report that confirms the metals that are stored in your account.

Clients can visit and inspect theirs metals by appointment. We require one week's advance notice of the desired visitation date so that we can confirm and accommodate the appointment request. Note: visitations are not possible at the Miami and Los Angeles locations.

We also provide a virtual audit service for clients with holdings in the Cayman Islands vault. The virtual audit service is available via a secure Zoom video call coordinated by SWP’s LBMA certified Vault Manager. The cost per virtual audit is $150 USD for the first hour. Any additional time is charged at $75 USD per each additional 30 minute segment. Note: the virtual audit service is only available for the Cayman Islands vault.

Are my assets shared, commingled, leased or pooled?

No. Client metals are stored on a 100% allocated and fully segregated basis. Clients’ assets are never commingled, and the client remains the legal owner of his or her assets at all times.

Are my stored assets fully insured?

Yes, all stored assets held in a Secure Segregated Storage account are fully insured for their full replacement value under our comprehensive precious metals insurance policy. Insurance includes protection against theft, fire, natural disasters, employee infidelity and mysterious disappearances. Evidence of our insurance is available upon request.


Are my purchases reported to the government or any tax authorities?

SWP is a privately owned and operated precious metals retailer and secure storage provider head-quartered in the Cayman Islands. The business is classified as an Active Non-Financial Foreign Entity under the U.S.-Cayman Islands Model I Intergovernmental Agreement ("U.S. IGA"). As such, SWP is not subject to any U.S. FATCA registration or reporting. Furthermore, SWP has no reporting requirements to any local or foreign government or tax authorities.

Can I transfer my existing holdings that are currently stored elsewhere to SWP?

Yes. If you have metals already in storage or at home that you wish to transfer to SWP, we can arrange the secure transportation of your metals with logistic companies specializing in the transportation of high-value cargo. Their extensive experience and knowledge of the industry ensures safe and prompt delivery to our vaulting locations. Note: SWP specializes in the storage of bullion coins, rounds and bars. Collectable coins may not be accepted for storage. Please speak with an SWP representative prior to depositing collectable coins.

How can I pay for my storage invoices and other types of service fees?

The most efficient way to pay for your storage fees or other types of service fees is by credit card.

If paying by credit card, first you will receive an official invoice from SWP, followed by a secure payment link sent in a seperate email. To proceed with your credit card payment, please click on the secure link you receive by email and follow the instructions to complete your payment. It's easy, secure and only takes 2 minutes of your time.


Alternatively, you can use the following payment methods to pay for your storage invoices and other types of service fees:

  • Bank Wire
  • ACH

Clients with banks accounts in the Cayman Islands can also fund their accounts via bank transfer.



I have paid for my order, when will it be deposited to my storage account?

Under normal market conditions, we will deposit your order within 5 business days (or less) from the time we receive your payment. We will notify you if we expect any delays.

How can I pre-fund my account?

Clients can pre-fund their account prior to placing an order.


We accept the following funding methods from clients with bank accounts in the United States:

Bank Wire, ACH, Certified check, Cashier’s check, Bank Draft, Teller Check and Official Check.

All checks and drafts will be subject to a holding period of up to fifteen (15) business days from the date of receipt to ensure clearance. ACH payments will be subject to a holding period of up to five (5) business days from the date of receipt to ensure clearance. No order can be placed prior to the payments clearing.


All checks must be made payable to 'Strategic Wealth Preservation Ltd.'

I can't log into my online account. What can I do?

Please follow these steps (Step #1 being critical):


Step #1) Clear your browser cache.

Step #2) After completing Step #1, close your current browser window and open a new browser window.

Step #3) Go to swpcayman.com and click on 'Login'. Enter your email and password. If the problem persists, go to Step #4.

Step #4) Enter your email address and select ‘Forget Password?’. You will receive a new temporary password. You can then login and set up a permanent password.


Note, the website works best in Chrome, Internet Explorer and Edge.

I want to sell my metal, will SWP buy it?

Yes, you can sell your precious metals to SWP. We offer competitive buy-back rates, and settlement from the sale typically takes up to seven (7) business days. Processing times may vary due to statutory and bank holidays, increased market activity, or the size of the transaction.
